Words of Inspiration and Motivation

“My passion comes from wanting to make a difference…I’m not here to save the world.  I’m just here to make a difference in the community I work in.”

The preschool years are critical…they are the first most fundamental period when children are noticing who they are.

  1. Hi Vanessa,
I totally agree with your first quote because we can't change the world but we can change our world. Our world meaning where we live, the children in our care. A child at a time is the way to go.

  2. Love these. I also posted your first quote (from Raymond) because he's absolutely correct - we can't change the world...but we sure can try to make our community a better place. Also, your last quote from Diane is a good one. Sometimes within our chaotic days, we can forget what our main goal is - and interacting with our curriculum on a regular basis will only help us with our end result. Great quotes!!

  3. Vanessa,

You've got some wonderful quotes here! I also chose a quote from Raymond Hernandez! His story was very inspirational. He is definitely very passionate about his career.

Louise Derman-Sparks is completely right! Preschool is a critical age where children notice more about themselves as well as the world around them. It actually goes along well with your next quote from Susan Bredekamp. Children are full of wonder, but it takes a wonderful teacher to fulfill a child's knowledge base with interesting information that they can relate to on a daily basis. Thanks for sharing!
